I really like both Taos and Santa Fe, but both are a bit too commercialized for my taste and flooded with tourists. Both are also very expensive places to live. Are there any smaller towns around this area of New Mexico that have similar qualities (both geographical and cultural) but are lesser known with smaller populations?

My wife and I will be visiting Santa Fe at the end of April. I’m a former resident - grew up in New Mexico and graduated high school at Santa Fe High. I haven’t been back in a decade, and I just want to get a pulse on the City Different. This will be my wife’s first visit.

Enjoy a small backyard and beyond. All shot in Santa Fe, New Mexico in the summer. For a desert, in the summer, you could sure have a lot of lush and lovely plants as well as breath taking views. Enjoy!
